Why dental clinics outgrow general clinic software

Many dental clinics start on the same software as a GP or a hospital. It handles bookings and bills. Then the clinic grows, and the gaps show.
The tooth chart is a notes box
General software has no tooth chart. Findings go into free text, which is hard to search and impossible to show a patient.
Treatment happens in sittings
A root canal or braces runs across several visits. Software that bills one visit at a time loses track of what was agreed and what is left.
Lab work lives somewhere else
Crowns and bridges go to a lab and come back days later. Without lab tracking, overdue work is only noticed when the patient is already in the chair.
Chairs, not rooms
Dental clinics book chairs, dentists and assistants together. A doctor-and-room diary cannot show that.
What to look for
Look for software that starts at the tooth: a clickable chart, plans split into sittings, lab orders linked to the tooth, and a bill that builds itself from what happened in the chair. See how DentiqOS does it.
